Knowing Yourself

Sometimes we think we know ourselves because we can describe our habits. Our habits are a part of who we are, but we really need to dig deeper and find out what drives those habits. Not only that, but there are many aspects of our personalities that we often stifle or downright ignore. When we live in this way, we are not only disconnected from our self, but also our higher being and the intimate relationships in our lives.

There is really no wrong way to go about self-discovery unless it is destructive. Using tools such as personality tests and cataloguing some of our behaviors, ideas and thought patterns can be very useful. To me, it is much easier to find focus when you know yourself well. Taking this focus and putting it into effective action and lifestyle is something beautiful. It is what life's journey is all about. This is a free, self-guided introductory course and will be shared upon request.

Aspirations/Goals
Healing from Toxic Relationships
Aspirations & Goals

Is there a difference between aspiration and goals? Distinctively so! An aspiration is much more like a lofty dream with no feet on the ground. A goal is a well-thought-out desire that is planned and then executed to deliver results. A goal is met whether we have our original desired outcome or not. We have learned things along the way and we can go back and revise and tweak what that goal was and strive again. When researchers find a different outcome than expected, they don't throw away the results, they glean every piece of new information they can from what was discovered and make adjustments and either change their expected outcome (goal) or adjust the means or process and seek the same outcome.

It is invaluable to have someone come alongside you and help you sort out your top priorities and support you along your way as you take steps to reach the achievements you have designed for yourself. It is empowering and a very positive way to live life. What I have found to be the most common struggles are: people do not want the feedback even experts have to offer and/or they have self-sabotaging or at least negative thoughts that inhibit them from launching onto higher ground. It is very important if you want to succeed that you come with an open heart and mind and that you are willing to put in substantial effort for your own life.

It is mostly your sweat and muscle- whether that is literal, figurative- or both that will have you growing and striving further and further.

We all need the boost, the accountability and the celebration that comes through a great coaching dynamic! This is offered as a 1-on-1 coaching series only. Pricing depends on length of coaching and number of topics addressed, determined both at intake and as you progress. Usually a minimum of 6 weeks. Positive Intelligence® is part of this program.

Healing From Toxic Relationships

Trauma affects everyone differently from categorizing the experience to living with it on a daily basis. It can come from abusive relationships, self-destructive coping skills, repeating dysfunctional/toxic history. These things are often connected AND it is not easy, simple or quick to just "get over" events and feelings. They live as memories our bodies cannot forget. It can be a major block or impasse to healing and growth because we can get stuck in a trauma state. Logic simply doesn't work on a brain stuck in fight or flight. This is survival mode. We can stumble into being triggered or activated- without notice. Mother wounds, partner betrayal, self-abuse can all perpetuate the cycle. Sometimes, even our senses or a once-familiar and comforting place can suddenly change and cause distress. Not to mention, neurodivergence is only in its infancy of understanding- and it is highly possible that many people have these diversities and do not realize it, which further complicates healing.

There are many types of abuse. There may be one area, or there may be several areas that overlap. It may be obvious to others or it may entirely occur behind closed doors. It takes a woman an average of seven attempts to leave an abuser for so many reasons. Once she does escape, she is in the greatest danger because the abuser has lost their perceived upper hand. It is possible to begin to see reality and make different choices while in the midst of abuse, but real and whole healing can only occur once you are no longer enduring on-going abuse. It is multi-faceted, and often a person has C-PTSD which is similar to PTSD. The difference is that C-PTSD (which stands for COMPLEX Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) is due to repetitive mistreatment whereas PTSD can be tied to one, single trauma event. It is not diagnosable as separate from PTSD, and is not managed exactly the same way. Sometimes, psychology as an institution is behind.

One in three women experience abuse at some point in their life, but one in five men also have been through abuse as well. Currently, I am working with women only, but many of the resources apply to men and women.

The very first step of healing is recognizing and admitting to yourself that you are being hurt on a regular basis and that it is tearing you down. No one deserves to be treated in this way. Cognitive dissonance can get in the way of this process. It is a phenomenon where a person holds a certain belief and that is challenged because it conflcts with the original belief they held. Often this occurs as the proverbial rose-colored glasses begin to fade, where reality and ideals clash and a person has to work to reconcile the truth and deal and live with that.

There are some people who want to tell a victim of domestic violence that they have a love addiction or they are co-dependent. These are inaccurate connections. Becoming educated about abuse and the tactics that are used against you are a vital early part of moving forward and gaining wholeness. I will help you dispel misbeliefs about abuse and help you rename what is happening to you.

It is a windy, twisty road to healing. It does not occur quickly. Another relationship right away will never bring you healing or wholeness. I wish I could say it was simpler. But people must have support during this time.

Please do not spontaneously try to leave your abuser. It is a great thing to be highly motivated, but you could put yourself in greater danger to not have a careful plan in place. And before you implement drastic behavior changes towards the abuser, please talk with someone who has your confidence first. This can trigger more violent reactions.

There are great, anonymous resources and I used these services myself. There are also regional victim centers that may be able to offer in-person support as well. This is a offered as a coaching series only. Can be in-person locally, online only or a combination of both. Foundational 8-week program is the base and leveling up is by invitation only. You can join the base program at any time. Live meetings will occur at least once during the 8-week program and includes 1:1 coaching sessions. Pricing discussed at intake.

Healthy Eating: Top 2 Issues
Not a One-Size-Fits All  & What About Supplements?

I studied dietetics, worked at WIC, was a breastfeeding educator and have a passion for people learning how to nourish themselves well. I decided not to finish my degree because it was not a wholistic health program, it emphasized institutional feeding in a medical environment- nothing I wanted to participate in. I want to work on the preventative side.

With my own history of disordered eating and living in a patriarchal society that encourages and perpetuates body image issues, the approach we take to self-care and healthy, enjoyable living is vital to quality of life. Parents often do not lead by example and are not investing in their own long-term vitality.

We will look at habits and beliefs, family traditions and false ideas. We will also dive into what supplements everyone should have and why. We are a miraculous, symbiotic biome and this balance is delicate and fascinating! Let's learn how to best support our highest level of wellness.

Homeschool & Parenting
Positive Intelligence
Homeschool & Parenting

I homeschooled my only child from 4th grade to graduation. I do not have experience juggling multiple ages in the same home, but I also had a children's choir and speech and debate club for all ages, K-12. I believe I can add some very thoughtful ideas and suggestions to your child's experience and help you create an education overview and a high school transcript whether your student(s) is college-bound or the future is unknown.

Attachment parenting is where it is at for me. In a box of keepsakes, I recently came across a book that shaped me as a mother. Just when I thought I'd experienced all kinds of love, I became a grandma. When I found out they were expecting, the first book I bought my own son is The Baby Book by William and Martha Sears. This may not be for everyone, but it is a very comprehensive resource and helped me find my footing as a single parent early in my experience. Offered as a 1:1 coaching series only because every situation varies widely. Working to co-host with and feature my son and my dear daughter-in-law in topic-specific webinars/podcasts. Coming soon! Pricing discussed at intake.

A Word About Positive Intelligence®

Positive Intelligence® has been revolutionary for me personally. I have done therapy, hired a life coach, a homeopath, an emotional healer, and a functional medicine doctor. I have needed them all. However, what I discovered and was able to develop through PQ is internal emotional stability, from the inside out. This program is highly empowering and thoughtfully created by Shirzad Chamine. I have been a client and am working on my coaching certification currently with full access as a coach.

It starts with a saboteur quiz. It can lead to a life-changing 7-week program with infinite growth possibilities. It is built for both personal mental wellness and a bold move in corporate leadership.

The basics are: 1. we all, as humans, gravitate toward the negative rather than the positive, 2. we can train ourselves to make better choices handling emotions so we project in a positive direction, 3. we can tip the scale so our general mindset is positive. These dynamics improve relationships and our ability to do our best!

This gentle, somatically-connected, trauma-informed program has an easy-to-use app that has daily reminders, progress tracking, built-in community and so much more. It has been priceless for me and would love the opportunity to share the program with you!
